Imagine going in for a festive trim at your local hairdresser and finding yourself sat next to a Hollywood superstar.
That’s exactly the situation patrons at Attaboy Hair at Kent Town were treated to after Zac Efron decided to pop in for a tidy up.
The Adelaide-based hairdresser took to Instagram to share the close encounter of the celebrity kind, revealing that they gave Efron a quintessentially-Aussie new ‘do.
“Zac Efron dropped into Attaboy Hair for a tidy up today, so we gave him a mullet,” they said.
“He also gave the boss man, Robby, a trim – and made him feel 17 again.”
The Hollywood hunk is in Adelaide to film a new movie after spending much of the COVID-19 pandemic laying low in Byron Bay.
He flew in from NSW last month after signing on to star in the locally-produced original film Gold for streaming service Stan.
Efron has made quite the mark on Adelaide – dropping in for a pint at a popular Hindley Street bar and braving the brunt of the state’s three-day circuit breaker lockdown.
It’s unclear where Efron is staying during his South Australian sojourn but it’s almost 2000km from his Byron Bay-based girlfriend, 25-year-old Vanessa Valladares.
He’s also far from the only Hollywood heavyweight making the most of Australia’s relative COVID-freedom.
Fellow stars Melissa McCarthy and Natalie Portman are also in the country working on separate projects, while actor Mark Wahlberg touched down in Sydney last week.
