Prime Minister Scott Morrison will address the media as more than half of the country’s population remains in lockdown.
COVID crises in New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia have resulted in more than 14.5 million people locked down.
Scott Morrison will address the media at 1.30pm AEST from The Lodge in Canberra. You can watch it in the player above when it begins.
It’s unclear what his Thursday afternoon press conference will be about – but it’s expected he’ll address the COVID situation around the country and the sluggish vaccine rollout.
He’s also likely to touch on Brisbane’s successful bid for the 2032 Olympic Games.
Morrison is currently isolating in Canberra after leaving Sydney ahead of parliament sitting.
Due to travel restrictions, he is required to spend 14 days in isolation.
