Victoria COVID case went to Zara in Chadstone on Boxing Day adding to exposure sites

A new store in Chadstone Shopping Centre has been added to a growing list of potential exposure sites for COVID-19.

On Thursday, Victoria’s testing commander Jeroen Weimar said as well as the 10 stores already confirmed, Zara in Chadstone had been added.

Anyone who was at the Zara store in Chadstone between 6am and 1.30pm on Boxing Day has been asked to get tested.

“We were able to retrieve some very helpful data from the individual’s phone, which showed us much more detail around their journey through Chadstone,” Weimar said.

The the other stores where the man could have contracted the virus are Culture Kings, Huffer, JD Sports, Jay Jays, H&M, Uniqlo, Myer, Superdry, Footlocker and Dumplings Plus in Chadstone.

Weimar said more information around the exact times the man was at each store will be released later on Thursday.
