A US woman who claims she had her teeth were incorrectly removed has documented her path to getting her “smile and confidence back”.
Brittany Negler, from Philadelphia, suffered damaged teeth after turning to drugs as a teenager.

She says she “went through a dark phase” while blaming herself for the death of her brother when she was 14.
When attempting to get her teeth fixed as an adult, she was told by a dentist they “weren’t fixable” and “needed to be pulled”, she says in a series of TikTok videos about her “dental nightmare”.
Making matters worse, the dentures she was given to replace her teeth were unsuitable.
“They don’t fit in my mouth. They’re too big,” Negler said.
“They keep saying its’s normal, but they don’t feel normal.
“When I chew, there’s just so much pain. I just want to eat again.”
The ordeal caused her to drop down to about 35 kilograms.
“It messed me up mentally, emotionally and physically,” she said on GoFundMe.
“I lost so much weight from not being able to eat and got really depressed.”
She said she was close to having inserted a feeding tube and “was about to give up” when she contacted dentist and “tooth fairy” Kenny Wilstead in Texas.
“Then I met an amazing stranger that was about the change my life forever,” she said.
Wilstead expressed shock at the decision to remove Negler’s teeth, saying the previous dentist did so due to only “minor” issues.
He agreed to provide Negler about $38,000 worth of dental treatment, initially giving her new denture implants before telling her to return “in a few months”.
In an emotional video showing her receiving her new dentures, Negler breaks down and hugs Wilstead as she is shown the result of his work.
“A dentist and his wife from states away who were complete strangers (saw) the real me and decided to legit save my life and give me my smile and confidence back as a gift from them,” she said.
Negler has turned to crowdfunding to help other people “smile again”.
