Uber driver films passenger’s racist tirade during Adelaide trip

An Adelaide Uber driver says a sickening racism attack by a passenger has left him feeling unwelcome in Australia.

The victim told 7NEWS he picked up a man and his partner from Semaphore on the weekend when conversation turned nasty.

Halfway through the trip, the man started hurling an onslaught of racial slurs at the driver, threatening to “beat his f**** head in”.

Fearing for his safety, the driver pulled out his phone and started filming.

“If you don’t like it, f*** off mate,” his passenger could be heard saying.

“Don’t touch me because you’re a f****** Muslim.”

When the driver pulled over and demanded that the duo get out of the car, the man refused.

Desperate to get away, the 30-year-old driver ran into a nearby McDonald’s but was followed by his passenger.

An off-duty security guard was forced to intervene when a scuffle broke out.
