In the image, the Simply The Best hitmaker looks almost unrecognisable as she stands in front of a TV playing one of her live performances.

“I am so excited to share this movie with you – seeing the concert scenes made me relive some of the proudest moments of my life,” she captioned the snap.

“I simply had to sing along and dance around my living room!”

The photo is one of the only times fans have seen Turner in recent years.

The rock icon retired from performing after a sold-out farewell tour in 2009 and has since been plagued by ill health including a stroke, cancer and kidney transplant.

The new feature-length documentary, called Tina, sees the star open up about her troubled past, incredible career and living with PTSD.

The film also serves as Turner’s final farewell to fans, with the ‘Queen of Rock n Roll’ wanting to enter the final phase of her life in private.

Australian fans can watch the film this Sunday, March 28 at 11am AEDT on Foxtel.
