‘This is disgusting’: Outrage over influencers’ promotion of ISIS themed shirts

A pair of controversial influencers are being slammed online after selling ISIS themed t-shirts to promote their podcast.

Anna Khachiyan and Dasha Nekrasova can be seen wearing shirts with a logo that resembles the terrorist organisation’s flag in images posted to Twitter.

The merchandise was to promote their podcast, Red Scare, which is labelled “cultural commentary” on their website.

The US commentators are often known for their controversial views on social affairs, weighing in on the #MeToo movement and Black Lives Matter.

Several Twitter users have hit out at the influencers for the promotional shirts, that say Red Scare, but are intentionally made to look the ISIS symbol.

“Imagine [if] a survivor of the Islamic State saw this. This is disgusting. Take it down,” one person wrote.
