Playgro baby rattles sold at Myer, Chemist Warehouse recalled due to choking hazard

Several baby rattles have been urgently recalled over fears parts may dislodge and pose a choking hazard.

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission recalled the Clip Clop Activity Rattle (blue) and Clopette Activity Rattle (pink) from Playgro Pty Ltd on Tuesday.

The rattles, which feature soft toy horses with an abacus ring and three beads attached to the back, two rattle feet and a mirrored bottom, were recalled over fears the abacus ring may dislodge and release the small beads.

The small parts may then pose a choking or suffocation hazard for young children.

The rattles were sold at Myer, Chemist Warehouse and Baby Bunting stores nationally between August 2020 and January 2021.

Customers are advised to stop using the product and contact Playgro to organise a replacement.
