Pet French Bulldog and her puppies returned after being stolen from Melbourne home

A Melbourne family’s beloved pet French Bulldog and her puppies have been recovered after they were stolen in an alleged brazen theft.

The family took to social media seeking help to track down the dogs after they had disappeared on Tuesday.

The family told 7NEWS each pet is worth about $7000.

But the owners said they didn’t care about the money and were more worried about the safe return of the dogs.

CCTV footage was later discovered showing three females walking away from the family’s house in Hawthorne.

It was believed the group had mother dog Dianne and her five four-week-old pups hidden in their bags.
