Out & About $100 spending vouchers for every adult in NSW as part of state budget

Every adult in NSW is set to receive $100 in vouchers to spend at hospitality and entertainment venues in a bid to boost the COVID-hit sectors.

The vouchers will be split into four and will each be worth $25 – two will be designated for hospitality venues and the remaining two for venues such as galleries, cinemas, amusement parks and theatres.

It’s set to cost the state government $500 million, NSW Treasurer Dominic Perrottet’s office told The Australian.

The scheme, known as Out & About, is set to be launched in Sydney’s CBD initially next month before being expanded to other locations next year.

“We want to encourage people to shop and spend with businesses multiple times, to get out and about and support their local community safely,” Perrottet said.
