A popular buy has been recalled over fears the products has been contaminated with a bacteria.
A recall alert for Preserved Chilli Beancurd 350g was issued on Wednesday, March 10.
The recall affects products with an expiry date of December 24, 2022.
It’s feared the item has been contaminated with bacillus cereus – a bacteria that can cause illness if consumed.
The products have been available for sale at Asian grocery stores in New South Wales.
What to do
Food Standards Australia has urged any consumers concerned about their health to seek medical advice.
Anyone who has purchased the recalled bean curd should also return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund.
