Greater Brisbane lockdown: Masks MANDATORY in as city enters three day COVID lockdown

Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has announced that masks will be made mandatory in Greater Brisbane as the city enters a three-day COVID-19 lockdown.

Residents in Brisbane, Logan, Ipswich, Moreton and Redlands must wear a mask from 6PM Friday to 6PM Monday when they leave their homes, which they can only do for essential reasons.

“If you are leaving your place of residence from 6pm Friday to 6pm Monday, you must wear a mask,” Palaszczuk said on Friday.

“We are doing this to make sure that we keep Queenslanders safe.”
