Frozen the Musical finally arrives in Australia after being delayed by COVID

Frozen the Musical has finally arrived on the Australian stage.

The Disney classic, which was previously set to begin its Sydney season in July, officially starts its long-awaited run Down Under on Thursday 10 December at the Capital Theatre.

It promises to be one one of the most technically advanced productions ever mounted in Australia, with 38 cast members and 440 costumes.

Frozen is led by Jemma Rix (Elsa) and Courtney Monsma (Anna), while Sydney actor Matt Lee will play Olaf, the beloved snowman.

The new new production comes from the producers of highly-succesful previous musicals, including Aladdin, The Lion King and Mary Poppins.

The show has a number of COVID-safe measures in place for audiences, including the theatre being at a maximum of 85 per cent capacity and audience members encouraged to wear face masks.

Frozen The Musical is on at the Capitol Theatre in Sydney until March. Tickets are available at frozenthemusical.com.au
