Bankstown Target, Big W and Service NSW among new venues on alert for COVID

A Target, Big W and Service NSW in Bankstown are among several new venues added to the list of locations exposed to a confirmed coronavirus case.

NSW Health issued a public health alert on Sunday night for the Bankstown venues and a supermarket in Marrickville.

The news comes after NSW recorded three new cases overnight, all linked to known clusters.

“NSW Health has been advised of a number of new venues in Sydney’s south-west and a supermarket in Sydney’s inner west visited by confirmed cases of COVID 19,” NSW Health said.

“Anyone who attended the following venues at the times listed below is a casual contact who must get tested immediately and self-isolate until a negative result is received. If any symptoms appear, get tested again.”

The locations are:

Thai Hung Supermarket, Marrickville, on Thursday 31 December, 3.45pm – 4.45pm

Bankstown Central Shopping Centre, North Terrace, Bankstown on Wednesday 6 January, 11.30am – 2pm

In particular, the following stores: Target, Myer, Smiggle, Big W, Best and Less, and Oporto in the food court

Bankstown Central Shopping Centre, North Terrace, Bankstown on Friday 8 January, 1pm – 2.30pm

In particular, the following stores: Smiggle, Big W and Oporto in the food court

Service NSW, 350/351 North Terrace, Bankstown on Friday 8 January, 11.45am – 1pm

Meanwhile, anyone who has been to the below venues should monitor for symptoms and get tested if they present.

These locations are:

Bankstown Central Shopping Centre, North Terrace, Bankstown on Wednesday 6 January, 11.30am – 2pm

Bankstown Central Shopping Centre, North Terrace, Bankstown on Friday 8 January, 11.15am -2.30pm
