Australia to bat vs Windies in second ODI

Australia have won the toss and elected to bat in the second ODI against West Indies, hoping to press home their advantage after a crunching 133-run victory in the first match 48 hours earlier.

With the tourists making one change for the Bridgetown day-nighter – Riley Meredith coming in to make his ODI debut while Wes Agar steps down – captain Alex Carey was looking to pile the pressure on the hosts in Barbados on Thursday.

The Windies made one change too, with a straight change at the top of the order seeing Shai Hope return from injury to replace Shimron Hetmyer and also reclaim the wicketkeeping gloves from Nicolas Pooran.

Australia will be looking for another match-winning effort from the devastating Mitchell Starc, who took his eighth ODI five-for on Tuesday.
